On Super Bowl Saturday, there were numerous events to tend to in New York City in preparation for the big game. Of those many, Hank Baskett hosted his first ever ‘Celebrity GAEMS PRO XP’ charitable event to raise money for The Griffin Gives Foundation.
via Griffin Gives Website:

“As a former NFL athlete and lifelong gamer, I always dreamed of an event where athletes, fans and gamers could come together and share a common bond: video gaming.  Fans love any chance to interact with their favorite athletes and likewise athletes embrace the opportunity to give back to die hard fans that follow them season to season.  When you add video games into the mix, you find a way to creatively bridge the gap and create the ultimate fan vs. athlete experience”.

All in attendance were able to experience multiple player stations, gaming with the PROS, online

competitions, live stream broadcasts, product demo stations and even giveaways! There were also many items to choose from the silent auction located in the waiting area outside of the venue.

Typically when attending events with well known celebrities/athletes, it can be a little intimidating. But Hank and his team successfully made this into a very comfortable environment for all to enjoy. Here I was in a room with well known personas in the media and I felt at home. Shared laughs with many at my sad attempt at playing these video games and even got to witness a six months pregnant, Kendra whip some behind in Dance Central.

Thank you Hank for putting together such a great event! Can’t wait to attend next years!
