Do you have a lot of big dreams that you would like to achieve but you don’t believe that they are possible? Maybe you think that you’re lacking in some way. Whether it’s your level of education or the amount of money in your bank. The key is recognizing that these limitations are all in your head!
We’ve all read books and watched movies where the underdog overcomes the impossible and achieves their goal. This isn’t just the stuff of Hollywood fiction, it is reality. People are doing the impossible all the time! Instead of overthinking everything and worrying about everything that could go wrong, ask yourself “what’s the worst that can happen?”
Even if things don’t work out exactly how you want them to, what’s the worst outcome? Will you lose your home, go bankrupt or threaten your very existence? The truth is that things are never as bad as we envision them to be. The chances of our perceived worst case scenarios actually becoming a reality are slim to none. So what’s keeping us from letting go of our fears and insecurities and really going for the things we want in life?
Just because we may not succeed at a goal that we strive towards, it doesn’t mean that we are a failure. It simply means that we haven’t figured out the best way to move forward. We have to let go of our concerns about what other people are thinking about the things that we do and how they may judge us. The late Dr. Wayne Dyer reminds us that “other people’s opinions are none of our business.” Once we accept this as truth, we can move forward without concerning ourselves with what anyone else is saying or thinking. Instead, we can focus on doing what we need to do to get where we want to go.
Don’t let your fears and insecurities stop you from living the life you want and deserve. Remember that we aren’t here to live mediocre lives. Extraordinary is always an option, just waiting for you to choose it.
Now signing off with the reminder: Don’t wait for the world to recognize your greatness, live it and let the world catch up to you.
